  • CORNING is located on Interstate 5, in Tehama County–mid-point between Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles, California.
CORNING, with the population of 6,211, is a friendly, rural community that offers a variety of recreational activities that include boating, hiking, fishing, hunting, and bird watching.
CORNING'S history is displayed throughout the Corning Museum, which is located within the Corning Chamber of Commerce, Corning City Hall and Corning Police Department in the historic Hotel Maywood building at Third and Solano Streets.
CORNING'S hometown atmosphere makes it the perfect place to have a family picnic at one of the local parks.
CORNING, better known as the Olive City, is home to the Bell Carter Olive Company, which is the world's largest ripe olive cannery. Tours of the cannery are available in groups of 6 or more, with 24 hours notice. For more information, contact Bell Carter directly at 530-824-2901.
